Dowling's
About Russell & Marc — The Heart Behind Dowling’s
Russell and Marc didn’t set out to build just another restaurant — they built a community hub. What started in 2015 as a bold bet on great food, good drinks, and an Irish-hearted welcome has become one of Roselle Park’s most beloved gathering spots.
From day one, their goal was simple: make every guest feel like part of the crew. Whether it’s messy wings after work, Dowling’s famous Reuben Rolls with friends, or a pint at the bar with live music on a Friday night, every visit feels like pulling up a chair at your favorite aunt’s dinner table — loud in all the right ways, warm, and inviting.
Russ and Marc have weathered their share of storms — literally. After Hurricane Ida forced a heartbreaking closure just before their sixth anniversary, they came back stronger than ever with a stunning renovation and expanded space that only deepened the pub’s role as a place where memories are made.
But Dowling’s is about more than great food and drinks — it’s about the people who walk through the door. It’s the locals who have made it their second home, the families who share meals there, and the celebrations — big and small — that stick with you long after the night ends.
Russell and Marc don’t just run Dowling’s — they live it. They’re hands-on, community-focused, and believe a great pub is only as good as the people in it. So pull up a chair, stay awhile, and let the good times roll.
